Monas Entrance Is Closed

Head of Control and Operational Section, Jakarta Transportation Dept, Maruli Sijabat disclosed, to anticipate sweeping against online ojek, the entire entrance of Monas has been closed.

"Entire Monas entrance is closed as conflict anticipation during demonstration," he stated, Tuesday (3/22).

Previously, hundreds of online ojek drivers did sweeping around East entrance of Monas, Central Jakarta. This caused traffic congestion along Medan Merdeka for 30 minutes.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's data, they came suddenly and try to get into the monument. The officer immediately closed access to the area because the situation is not conducive.

"Our friend was trampled by taxi drivers in Semanggi and Dukuh Atas, we just want to revenge. That's why we hunt them," exclaimed Arif, one of online ojek drivers.
